For the metro area, the figures are typical all-in cycle ranges. When a clinic lists its own pricing, the table adopts those numbers. If not, the range is an estimate based on FertilityIQ and Cofertility data, not a price confirmed by the clinic. A consultation quote is provided by most fertility clinics. Last reviewed April 2026. Directly confirm with the clinic before relying on any price.

Pennsylvania’s insurance mandate

Pennsylvania has no full fertility coverage mandate. Your employer determines your coverage, and it varies a lot. Some Pennsylvania employers, like large healthcare systems and universities, offer generous fertility benefits; many small and medium-sized employers do not.[11]

Elective fertility preservation is not covered by Pennsylvania Medicaid. Limited fertility services are available in some state employee plans. Check with your HR department.

Local considerations for patients

Pennsylvania’s pricing sits in the lower middle range. Philadelphia is generally slightly more expensive than Pittsburgh due to its larger metro area and proximity to New York and New Jersey prices. The two cities have separate clinic markets. Patients near the state borders sometimes use clinics in neighbouring states: New Jersey for those near the NJ border, and Cleveland Clinic or University Hospitals for those near the OH border.

Substantial published outcomes data are available from two well-established academic-medical-center programs: Penn Fertility Care and UPMC. RMA of PA is one of the centers in the broader RMA national network.

The specific clinic quote is determined by protocol, dose, monitoring frequency, and any pre-treatment evaluations. The state pricing data is a summary provided for reference. Before treatment, confirm with the clinic and your insurer.
